Land of Dreams

“Land of Dreams” explores various ideas, from the immigrant experience and the American dream to pervasive surveillance. However, it all comes together a bit too enigmatically. Sheila Vand is rather captivating to watch, but the absurdist (at least I think it’s absurdist) plot left me struggling to connect with almost any of the story here. It does feature a loony performance (cameo) from Isabella Rossellini, and Anna Gunn is clearly having some fun in dual roles, but there isn’t much else I could recommend.
