Panic Fest 2022

“Nitram” is based on a distressing true story, and while I don't know how closely it adheres to the true-to-life details, what's depicted here makes for an incredibly thought-provoking film. I was not aware of the true story behind the film when I started watching it. Once I realized where this story was headed, and even though it made my stomach turn, I couldn't look away. If you know the true story that Nitram is based on, you might not have the same experience. Caleb Landry Jones is exceptional here. The entire cast is great, but his performance stands out. It's a riveting and nuanced character drama, and I highly recommend it.
