Piggy

“Piggy” is a sordid and twisted revenge thriller (of sorts). I watched director Carlota Pereda's short film that this was based on recently, and it was fun to see this expanded to feature-length. A couple of sequences had me questioning our protagonist's (Laura Galán) decision-making at the time. Some of her decisions only seem to exist to fill out the runtime. I liked that it diverted a fair amount from the short film's path. The short, though fun, was very predictable. This feature-length treatment undeniably kept me guessing exactly how things would shake out, making “Piggy” a rather bloody and fun midnight flick.
