The Innocents
May 2nd, 2022 / Kevin Ward
Panic Fest 2022
Four children become friends and uncover hidden powers while away from the watchful eyes of their parents. As they playfully explore their abilities in nearby forests and playgrounds, their innocent fun turns dark. “The Innocents” is slow to get into at first, but the impressive and naturalistic performances of the four young leads allow the tension here to intensify as the story gradually gets darker and more disturbing. And boy, does it get more dark and more disturbing. I highly recommend this if depravity is your thing.
